Trading calendar for the December 2026 and New Year holidays
The exchange will be closed on Friday 25 December 2026 and Friday 1 January 2027. Trades on the days before each holiday settle on the third business day after the trade date.
Kilele Exchange will not open for trading on the following public holidays:
- Friday 25 December 2026, Christmas Day
- Friday 1 January 2027, New Year's Day
Jamhuri Day and Boxing Day fall on Saturdays this year, so no additional weekday closures apply.
Equity trades settle three business days after the trade date (T+3). Trades executed between Tuesday 22 and Thursday 24 December settle on the third business day after the trade date, skipping the holiday and the weekend.
